Favourite Features of Dewalt dws727

Mitre Control

The mitre lock handle and mitre latch button allow you to mitre your saw to 60° right and 50° left. Start the process by lifting the mitre lock handle, pushing the mitre latch button, and then setting the mitre angle desired on the mitre. Push down on the mitre lock handle to lock the mitre angle.

Rail Lock Knob

The rail lock knob locks the saw head firmly to keep it from sliding on the rails. That is ideal for making cuts or when transporting the saw.

Fence system

The upper part of the fence is adjustable to provide clearance, allowing the saw to bevel to a 49° both left and right. For adjustments,  loosen the fence adjustment knob and slide the fence outward. When adjusting the fence, the saw fence should be close to the blade for maximum workpiece support.

It does not interfere with arm up and down movement. Make sure you tighten the fence adjustment knob. When the tracks of the fences become clogged with sawdust, use a brush or low-pressure air to clear the guide grooves.

Dust extraction system

When vacuuming dry dust that is toxic to health or using a special dust Class M vacuum cleaner, start using this saw unless the dust bag or DeWALT dust extractor is in place. Check and clean the dust bag each time after use. It limits the risk of exposure to the operator of hazardous dust, which exposes the user to an occupational disease (Quirepace.co.uk).

Clamping system

Use the material clamp provided with your saw. The left or right fence helps in clamping. When assembling the clamp on the back side of the saw, set the arm of the clamp at the highest position so that the clamp post slides into the mounting hole as the clamp passes over the fence. Tighten the knob to clamp the workpiece.

Detent plate

This mitre saw features an adjustable, stainless steel mitre detent plate with 11 positive stops. It helps you quickly make accurate cuts and adjust the mitre using the cam-lock mitre handle. Its versatility lies in its capacity between 0 to 60 degrees to the left and 0 to 52 degrees to the right.
