Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw with Steel Rip Fence Review [READ before you buy it]

If you are looking for a portable table saw to use in a workshop and on job sites, this may be the one for you. The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is suitable for back and forth trips between the workshop and job site. This is time-saving for a contractor.

Highlights

The BladeRunner weighs 6,8 kgs. While being stable and sturdy, the saw is easy to toss in the back of your truck after you are done with your work. Another extra is that the saw comes with a footprint of only 15.75” x 17”. This basically means that it doesn’t take up an entire workbench like the traditional table saws on the market.

The updated type now offers better capacity and control than the original. The addition of a tabletop handle for portability, a hold-down guard plus splitter that cuts wide material, plus a larger rip fence for control takes it to a new level. The hold-down guard and splitter allow one to work with wider materials and a larger rip fence, unlike other portable table saws, which then provide better control and accurate cuts.

The saw comes with a no-load speed of 3000/min, plus a stroke length of ¾”, with 5.5 amps of power that gives it the capacity for light to moderate cutting of wood which is up to 1-1/2, ceramic tiles 3/8”, PVC pipes 1-1/4”, aluminium 3/8”, lastly steel 1/8. Keep in mind that anything over 1-1/2” and you might need to use the traditional, permanently fixed tabletop saw.

Though we all know you can’t take that to the job site it just does work. The magic is in the blade change. The blades switch out almost instantly, roughly in under 3 seconds, that is after you get the hang of the tool-less blade change system. The saw is also protected by a Rockwell 3-year limited warranty, so you know they stand behind their tools a definite plus.

Pros

Comes with a wide range of blades suited to cut all kinds of materials that you may come across, such as; ceramic, tile, and aluminium the list is endless. Compact in size with a tabletop handle for easy transportation. The saw also allows you to change the blades instantly without the use of any supplementary tools. No stress when it comes to cleaning up as the saw comes with a vacuum port that assists with containing and collection of dust.
